Using Chirai · Chapter 9

Payments

Sites take payments into your account — Chirai never holds your customers' money. Set payments up once in Payments; every site of yours uses it.

For Razorpay, paste your Key ID (rzp_…) and Key Secret; for Stripe, your secret key (sk_…). Use test keys first, place a test order, then switch to live keys.

NoteWith your own payment link, Chirai can't see whether money arrived — you mark each order paid by hand in Manage site. Your link can include {amount} and {reference} placeholders.

Your keys are safe

Secret keys are stored encrypted, are never sent to your sites or shown again, and are used only by Chirai's server to create and verify payments. To change a key, type the new one; leave the field empty to keep the saved one.

Prices, GST and delivery

Set in Manage site → Shop & business → Checkout: currency, whether prices include GST, delivery fee, free delivery above an amount, minimum order. Totals are always calculated on the server, so a visitor can't change a price in their browser.

Refunds

Open the order in Manage site and press Refund — for Razorpay and Stripe the refund goes back through the gateway; the customer is emailed.

Paying Chirai

Your Chirai plan is paid separately, through PayU (UPI, card, netbanking or wallet). See Plans and billing.
