Quick start
This chapter takes you from nothing to a live site. You'll need about 30 minutes of waiting and 10 minutes of your own time.
1. Describe your site
Go to Start building. Choose Website (or App for iOS and Android — see Mobile apps) and type what you want, in your own words. Say who it's for, what people do on it, and what it should feel like:
A website for selling handmade crockery in Bengaluru. Customers browse bowls, mugs and plates, pay online or cash on delivery, and can order custom pieces. Earthy, warm design.
Optionally attach up to 6 files — a logo, product photos or a mood board — and Chirai will use their colours and style.
2. Answer IILA's questions
A moment after you stop typing, IILA asks a few questions with ready-made answers (who the customers are, which features matter, a colour palette) and shows the pages it plans to build. Tick or untick pages — the list you confirm is exactly what gets built. Then press Generate Preview.
3. Wait for the preview
The Studio opens and shows each step live, with the minutes left. You can close the tab — the build keeps going and appears under My Apps. Typical time: about 27 minutes (why it takes that long).
4. Look around and change things
When the preview is ready, click through every page. To change something:
- Talk to IILA in the chat: "make the header darker", "add a FAQ section on the home page".
- Click ✦ Select, click any text or button on the page, and edit it directly.

5. Put in your real content
Open ⚙ Manage site. The starter products, text and photos are samples — replace them with yours: products and prices, your business details (name, address, GSTIN, phone), and the text on each page. See Manage site.
6. Publish
Publishing needs a plan from Starter (₹799/month) — see Plans and billing. Press ↑ Publish. Your site goes live at yourname.chirai.dev in about 2–5 minutes. Connect your own domain any time from Domains.
After that, changes you make go live by themselves about 30 seconds after your last edit.
